Yes the Caddy is still on jacks and now apparently bricks under the front suspension too, but progress is being made and the electics are mostly done, and he is fitting tubes and other things I don't recognise, into the small space available, now that he has tyre levered the stonking great engine into it!!! :do: I give him credit, he is still reasonably enthusiastic and hopefully he will get there with it and enjoy what he loves. :th

Garmin have just announced free updates on all their software, now that the skip has gone as a landmark. :(

The parking scheme worked a treat. We were somewhat late getting there and the owner had gone out, but they left a small map of the route to walk to the stadium. The walk was more 20 minutes rather than the 15 that was suggested, but no matter, it made for safe parking away from the crowds and worked for us. :c

The bonus was that Helen's son's team won the game and the place errupted in jubilation. My ears are still singing this morning.

One thing I noticed about the new stadium was that the acoustics appeared to be much poorer than the old one and I doubt that concerts will be so good there now. I have been there and to the Arena for pop concerts and I think that the arena is now the better choice. Of course it seems that the 02 stadium is the venue of choice for music stuff so this may be irrelevent.

I believe that Millwall supporters are not averse to doing battle with the other side's supporters. :whatever: There was a huge police presence during and after the match, including mounted police as well as the eye in the sky helicopter.

I am pleased to say that we saw nothing of any violence and sincerely hope there was none.
